Would you recommend Pellets, for bird feed.?

I am quite sure that you did not watch a program that included every company that manufactures food for birds. Psittacine birds (parrots and ateils) do not eat meat, they eat grains, vegetables, and fruits, so it doesn't make sense that 'dead animals' would be used to manufacture their pelleted foods. It has been scientifically and empirically proven over and over that psitaccine birds fed pelleted diets with supplemented green leafy vegetables and carrots or sweet potato daily are much more healthy than birds fed seed/nut diets, no matter what is used to supplement the seed/nut diet. I cannot talk about chicken diets, dont' know what they use, but lets face it, chickens eat slugs and bugs and dead things in the dirt when they are raised free, so using dead animals and waste products is about the same thing.
