Financial issues.. anyone have advice?

Long story.. lost my job a year or so ago. Trying to repay the debt of a charge off credit card to a company called Collect Corp a few months ago set up a payment plan to pay off this account. Since then I lost my other job and contacted these folks to see if I could reduce the amount of payment until I got another job in which I was interviewing with. The man said certainly. He put me through to another person in the company to verify what I had asked and to give them my info again. I was told I could pay the minimum amount for the month of January (which was suppose to have been automatically withdrawn from my account on the last business day of the month. While I am in another state for an interview, this company withdrawals the funds 2 weeks before it was even due.. the entire amount which left me with a negative amount in my checking account. Unaware of this at the time, I plan for my trip home and try to pay for my airfare with my debit card and guess what..insufficientt funds. So I am stuck. I call the company the next day and was promised the funds would be put back in. I called back the following day... only to find out they will have to mail me a check 7-10 business days. What a crock. Here I am stuck in another state. I called my bank and I cannot over the phone stop payment on this due to the fact they need my signature. Any suggestions? Not only that.. the negative amount is costing me $35 dollars for each transaction I have overdrawn. What can I possibly do. I am freaking out.
