What's the cause of the head rush when the body ingest nicotine through smoking?

You get the head rush because cigarette smoke displaces the amount of oxygen into your lungs, and therefore your blood. The term for what you are experiencing is hypoxia- albeit a mild form. Hypoxia is a shortage of oxygen to the brain, which causes the head rush and occasionally dizziness.
