Whats the catholic religion based on?

hello, im a christian and i will be speaking to a catholic soon, so i would like some advise, i know a few things in the bible that make the Catholicism contradict its self, in even in a catholic bible it says so, but i can only remember john 14:6, can some one give me a few verses and advise?
