If you really like this guy, then you shouldn't be flirting with other guys, especially guys that he knows. He probably said he didn't like you because you included the other guy when he asked you who did you like. In his mind he's probably thinking that maybe you're torn between the two of them and can't decide and maybe he just doesn't want the drama.
